Review:April Rain Skin Science Night Rainew...

Tuesday, January 06, 2009

I had the opportunity to try April Rain Skin Science Night Rainew. The challenge was to use it for 35 days to experience the night cream.I love moisturizers just for the night!

"Your skin is thirsty. This ultra-hydrating, age-defying, night repair crème provides more, long-lasting moisture while you sleep with 21 hydrating elements that keep skin healthy and younger-looking. Night Rainew™ nourishes starving skin with HydroPeptide®, found exclusively in April Rain Skin Science™ products, an age-defying breakthrough that lifts away fine lines and wrinkles, and 100% organic, antioxidant-enriched Buddleja and Echinacea extracts which promotes stronger more age-resistant skin. Dermatologist tested. Allergy tested. Non-irritating. Paraben and phthalate free. For all skin types. Not tested on animals."

I saw a huge change in the skin on cheeks. My pores are smaller and my skin looks smoother.I also used it on my decollete. Night Rainew is light enough for that area and there have been no breakouts there. I recommend this as a go to night cream even for the oiliest of skin. My face loved it!

Review:Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter....

After scooping out the last little bit of Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter this morning...I was reminded to do a review on it!! I got the 1.69 fl oz. size at Target for 2.99 about a month ago. Here's the scoop:
Pros:
-I love the smell. I've read reviews where some don't like it but it puts in the mind of casual-bumping around the house-chillin' out scent. It's fresh and casual like a Saturday afternoon on the couch...
-The smell sticks to you like glue. It doesn't waver and it doesn't go away til' you are ready to take a shower or bath. I like that in a body butter.
-It's a good hand creme too. Will knock ash out like De La Hoya....
Cons:
-It doesn't soak in quickly. You'll be rubbing for minutes trying to get finished putting on lotion. But if you read the top on the cap it says,"Smooth on damp skin and massage in until it all sinks in" .So, you got what you paid for with a WARNING message like cigarettes.
I'm getting a big jar soon:)

Shopping My Stash...Carol's Daughter Candy Paint Lip Gloss in Bossy...

Monday, January 05, 2009

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!: I didn't get the job that I interviewed for last Friday.:( I know, I know. I want to thank everyone who prayed, sent good vibes up, thought good thoughts for me...THANK YOU! THANK YOU!I had good interview and such, but Sunday, I felt like I didn't get it. Then my pastor's sermon was about not stopping for temporary and keep moving on. That spoke to me...and kinda knew I wasn't going to get the job. At least they called to tell me that they picked someone else...I give them mad respect on that because some companies won't call you at all.:)God...doesn't want temporary( which the job was a 26 week project over in June) for me. I knew it. But He has something great in the works. Everytime my savings seems to be depleting...something comes up and its still bountiful...:)
That thing about saving six months worth just in case you are unemployed is TRUTH!! lol!
Now to Stash Shopping of the day....
I'm going to be super real on ya'll. Carol's Daughter Candy Paints are TRASH. They stink,I think the natural oils in them go bad, they are thin in consistency, and they are pyramid scheme( I call every thing a pyramid scheme or a ponzi scheme if I feel like I "got Got"). When , you look at them in the tube, you think they are sooooo pretty but they come out very "dollar sto'".
This morning....I saw Candy Paint in Bossy glaring at me in the lip gloss drawer. I chose it... And figure my own Ponzi Scheme on I how effectively turned trash into treasure":
-First, you need squeeze all of extra oil that sits at the top of tube out first.
-Don't smell it...ugh
-Don't apply it directly from the tube, you'll have a greasy mouth.
-TWO LAYERS of Candy Paint will give you the color you see in the tube.
I think I'll wear Bossy more...

Shopping My Stash: Cover Girl Queen Collection Lion Queen Quad....

Happy New Year!!! 2009 is going to be awesome!!! I have never been so excited about a new year!!

I dug up Cover Girl Lion Queen Quad from The Queen Collection couple a days ago and sat it aside just for New Years Day....

I have used it a bit, especially the shimmery black color which has great pigment. I think I was bit confuse on how to really use the other three colors...
* I was in hurry to get out the house( running late for Grandma's and those collard greens...) so I have on no translucent powder...hence the shiny face lol!!
*It's also the first time I've worn those earrings, too. Paid $1 for them and found them the other day too. There so Glam-y and Superstar-ish...Let me find "Diva" for my new ringtone.lol!I'm going to start posting my "Shopping My Stash :The Fashion Edition":)
The lipgloss and liner will be another SMS post...You won't believe the story on that one.

My blending efforts are getting..a bit better. I should wear this quad more. It has great smokey eye colors and its fun. AND it still sold in stores!
