When I needed a "hairdressa", she came through. In the summer of 2002, my line sister Jocelyn was getting married and I was instructed to "get my hair done". I was wearing a very unruly yet sexy fro that my current boyfriend loved and adored and so did I. But, Jocey wanted me to be a bit more polished as a bridesmaid. So, for her, I asked her cousin Maryn, who is licensed cosmetologist ,about to come to the WU in the fall, to do my hair.
She took my fro, braided it down , and stitched in one the prettiest curly weave dos' I have ever rocked. Everyone loved it, including the bride. Maryn is definitely one out of two people I trust in my head.lol! She also gave me my one and only micro-braids, that were the best thing smoking! Too bad I can't sit for long periods of time to get my hair braided.
Now, my soror Maryn, is still doing her thang and I recently caught up with her to asked her her top 5 hair products...I knew she wouldn't let me down! She says:
Mizani Oil Sheen ("not heavy and great shine")
Keracare Silk Sheen ("great sheen and silk agents")
Keracare Humecto conditioner ( "smells great and softens hair")
Ellen Lavar Thermal Iron spray ( "light and protects against heat")
Keracare Hydrating Shampoo ( "smells great and leaves hair tangle free")
Now I got a new hair wish and shopping list!!
