~Review~ Barielle Total Foot Care Cream and Giveaway!!! ***CLOSED***
Okay....I admit....I didn't take care of my feet that well this past winter.:( Now I got to battle calloused and dry skin and I'm ready for it go away. I've been building a nail care "kit" complete with its own caddy to keep up with all the cream, balms, files, and soaks against the war with dry skin. Lately, I've added Barielle Total Foot Care Cream. Check out the details:
- Barielle Total Foot Care Cream -- Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner ($12):
- Luxurious conditioning cream that helps eliminate calluses and cracks
- Contains no harsh peeling ingredients, acids, or camphor
- Leaves your feet feeling soft and silky
- Baby powder fragrance
Pros:
- great smell
-creamy texture
-the cream is in a tube so its easy to use and don't over use because you can measure how much you squeeze out.
-works well with softening the hard places on my feet
Cons:
-Doesn't last all day. I wore it for about five hours and I needed more aka "I saw ankle ash" lol!
-Made the bottom of feet and shoe slippery so watch out!
Consensus:
- I like it! It works better when applied on damp feet so that the product will soak in and stay on. Love that it is in a tube.:)
Now, I want to give away a Barielle product to one of my family here on Rural Glamour...Barielle Nail Strengthener!
- Barielle Nail Strengthener Cream ($10):
- The most popular, ground-breaking product for nail treatment
- Helps strengthen nails to resist splits, peels and breaks
- Use daily to maintain healthy nails
- Noticeable improvement in 3-4 weeks
- Can be used over nail polish or on bare nails

What I'm Reading Now.....
I used to be a huge book reader, but my lacking attention span has caused my reading addiction to fall off. So, I've been trying to pick back up and dive into some reads. I'm a bit all over the place as far as taste in books. I love beauty, health, and cookbooks and the occasional fiction. I'm currently reading ( all at the same time! lol!):
Onward- This was on my wishlist as well and I got a pretty good deal on it. $25 plus a $5 GC to Starbucks and $5 off the book. However, you got to buy it at Starbucks for the deal.True Starbucks fanatics should read this. Its good but a little over detailed in places. This my first "business" book so I'm trying to finish it.
The Get 'Em Girls Guide to The Power of Cuisine- Excellent recipes abundant in this book. It makes me sorely miss having my own kitchen where I would spend all Saturday trying new recipes.
Can You Get Hooked On Lip Balm?- I won this in a giveaway and it was already on my wishlist, so lucked up! Super SUPER informational read on every beauty question about ingredients, hair products, parabens, etc. The best section is the hair product question section that any natural sister worth her salt should check out. Cleared my questions about petroleum and mineral oil right up!!

Jamie's Weight Loss Diaries....#18 Weigh In
***Thursday is Weigh In Day...I weigh myself ONCE a week. I can't jump on the scale every day, all times of the day, when I feel fat, before a date....too much on my medicated brain. lol! Once a week is good for me. I'm a born again scale person. I'm just now embracing the scale. I avoid it all thru my teens and twenties....***
May 12, 2011
+1 lbs
Up to 218lbs
(20 lbs lost since 12/30/2010)
Just one of those weeks ( and this week) that nothing tastes good. Food rut. Plus I'm waiting for a little financial windfall that is expected to come so I can reactivate my Y membership for the quarter. *sigh*
I wonder what life would be like to be stress free. There is no doubt that stress is one the creators of my weight plateaus....and everything else around me.
Hope everyone is having a good week:).

Lipstick Tag!!!
1. When you were a child, did you use your mother’s lipsticks?
Yes. My mother actually put lipstick on me. She would paint my nails and toes too. She is very girly and she made me a very girly girl!

2. How old were you when you bought your first lipstick?
My mother bought my first lipstick which was a light, frosty pink from Love My Lips with the matching nail polish. It was for my 8th grade Prom. lol! She also bought me a foundation, powder and a Maybelline 10 pan eyeshadow palette that I owned for YEARS!

3. Pink or red lipstick?
Pink. I like the fact to its a bit against the norm for a African American woman. People dont think we can wear any thing but plums and coppers...but we can wear a bad pink lip too.

4. The most expensive lipstick you have ever bought?
I dont know....probably a MAC lipstick. But I've own a Chanel lipstick that was given to me. I sold it though.

5. And the cheapest?
I love the Nicka K brand that you find in BSS' for $.99. but I'm sure I've bought clearance lipstick less than that somewhere.

6. What’s the most bizarre thing you have ever done with a lipstick?
I dont know....melted it! lol! I melted some of cheap lippies into a bead box to make room in makeup collection.
