N.O.T.D. L.A. Girl Matte White....

Hi Cuzins!!!

Here's NOTD...L.A. Girl Matte in White...which I feel very 'chic' wearing. Its not 'White-Out"-ish either. It was about three coats though but I didn't mind, I like the outcome:)

Review: CoverGirl ShineBlast Lipgloss...

The good folks over at CoverGirl also sent me the new ShineBlast Lipgloss to try out along with ShadowBlasts. I heard the rave over the MUA boards and Twitter over this great new designed applicator called, ShineSculpt, which 'hugs' the lips with each application....

Pros:

-not sticky, the gloss is great smooth texture...

-the Shine Sculpt is the business...Cover Girl better thank their lucky stars on that patent.I could see this on a high end gloss and price on it being thru the roof!!

Cons:

- the watermelon smell turned me off...but I don't like watermelon

-the color were super duper sheer on my pigmented lips...I was sad.Every last color looked like a clear gloss on me. If only they were bit more pigmented....

Consensus:

-Great moisturizing gloss with an innovative applicator...Not good color picks for pigmented lips...Hopefully more colors will be introduced with better pigmentation. I'll tuck these away for the summer when I do wear lighter colors.

Review: Cover Girl Smoky Shadow Blast....

The good folks over at Cover Girl sent me some of their new Smoky Shadow Blast!! I'm excited to do a review of them after seeing them in both of my CVS'... which is a miracle because they never carry the same thing. **shrugs** lol!

Anyway....Cover Girl describes Smoky Shadow Blast as "It’s a smoky eye tool plus makeup artist all in one shadow stick. First up... Tempest Blue Smoky Shadow Blast.

The shadow is creamy and goes on smooth even over a eyeshadow base. I love the pigment of this blue....
However, even after going over my lid a couple of times with the stick, the color was spotty and uneven. The light blue side texture was bit grainy...I didn't like its texture at all....
This color is Onyx Smoke...The black shadow side is Gorgeous!! It has a holographic glitter in it.
BUT...after lots of coats and light blending, the color came off spotty, again. The white end of the stick could stand to be a bit darker silver instead of a stark frosty white....

Consensus: I like them but I think they would work great as base color shadow sticks like NYX Shadow Pencils...plus you get, colors so it more bang for your buck.But most shadow sticks are like this. Get the Onyx Smoke and Bronze Fire, which I'm going to pick up on the next Cover Girl BOGO....
