~Come With Us To Marrakesh!!~ New mark. Cosmetics for the Spring!

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Hey Everyone!

Spring is finally here! At least it is on the calender and this season is bringing even more new beauty products and makeup by bountiful. One of my favorite brands, mark. by Avon is launching a collection inspired by Marrakesh.

Lots of spicy colors and bold pieces are in this collection! Here are a few pieces I was sent, complete with swatches and first impressions......
 (left to right)
Exotic Hues Eye Shadow Trio
Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain in Spicy
Exotic Beauty Face Powder Mosaics
Exotic Beauty Face Powder Mosaics- This face powder is very finely milled with golden and coral tones. It's perfect as a highlighter. I swirled it around with a bronzer brush to get a perfect combination of colors.
Exotic Hues Eye Shadow Trio- When I first saw this trio, I thought of fall, the gold, bronze-y orange and deep forest green. However it can be worked into a spring/summer look to pair with the season's tribal looks.

Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain in Spicy- This gloss is a beautiful, sheer caramel brown. It has mark's signature calming minty scent and its not sticky. I didn't find it really staining either, just a great everyday gloss to compliment the face powder and trio.

Swatches
The first three colors are the Exotic Hues Trio and last swatch in the Exotic Beauty Face Powder Mosaics.

This is a swatch of the Gloss Gorgeous in Spicy.

Here's a look I created with all the products and the jewelry as well. Check out Dazed and Adorned Jewelry Blog for more info on the jewelry in this collection!!! Link HERE!!

So what you do you think of mark's Marrakesh inspired collection? Let me know!!
The Collection will be available by consultant and online April 2013.

~Lippie of the Day~ Maybelline Brazen Berry...

Saturday, March 09, 2013

Hey Everyone !

Brazen berry is one of my favorite vivids. Initially I thought I should be brighter but looks great with bright colors like turquoise , orange, yellow and gold.
I put a bit of MAC Fantabulous Dazzleglass in the center of the lips.

~Fresh Coat~ Hard Candy Black Tie Optional.....

Thursday, March 07, 2013

 Hey Everyone!!

Two Fresh Coat posts in a row?? Why, yes!!

I ran up on the new Hard Candy polish at Walmart and when I tell you, it was sooooo hard not to go completely HAM and buy them ALL. Hard Candy did this one. I can see that now these polish will be the stand outs of their entire makeup collection. I love how they have channeled some of the nail industry's hottest trends in polish: glitters suspended in cremes, glitter overloads, chromes, and micro glitters.

I got six polishes the first round, so buckle up.:)

First up.....Black Tie Optional....
Black Tie Optional looks like a black creme or jelly with white and black glitter BUT its actually black and white glitter overload suspended in a CLEAR polish. So, you might need a opaque base. I used Kleancolor Black and Kleancolor White.....
The glitters are CRAY CRAY. Hexagons, big and small, black and white, speckles, long pieces...all this for $4? I think, I'll faint now.......If  this was easily is a "prestige" polish brand, you are looking at $8, $9 polish. Get yo life!!

I used a dabbing technique to get as much glitter off the brush. The brush picks up the glitter but regular polish strokes will not get it off.

This my thumb with two coats of "dabbing" with no base, so it is possible to get a opaque look with no base shade.

I think just wrote this whole post holding my breath. I make no sense, sometimes. That's what happens when you are a polish addict. The excitement is crazy, I say!!

~Fresh Coat~ B. Nichole Nails.....

Hey Everyone!!!

She's back!! My polish MOJO!! I know I said that in the last fresh coat post, but the spring beauty season is just bringing in new colors, formulas and surprises and I'm excited!

Today, I'm featuring nail art by B. Nichole Nails. Two of the biggest trends in nails for 2013 are custom nail art and temporary nails in the form of quick artificial nails and quick nail applique. B. Nichole Nails combines both: custom, fresh nail art and the option of having it done on press on nails for a quick fashion fix.

The owner of B. Nichole Nails, Bianca, sent me two sets of nails. Here, I'm going to show you one of my favorites of the two....

I love the color scheme of bright blue, a grape-y purple and citron yellow with the trendy chevron design in black. The compliments the day I wore this set was off the hook!! People, first, wanted to know, who done them and then they couldn't believe they were press ons. lol!
Day two of this set, I trimmed down to be a bit more wearable for my lifestyle. I didn't lose any of the beautiful design feel, they look great even shorter.....

I wore these nails for about three days, which it about to life of any press on. If you don't wash dishes twice a day or more like me:(, you can wear them even longer. These kind of quick nails are great for weekends, weddings, dates, special occasions, gifts, the list goes on!!

You can purchase pre- designed or custom made sets at B. Nichole Nails on Etsy...Click HERE to check out the store and order....Here are some photos of couple of her designs..

Bianca also has a tumblr, click HERE and you can follow her on twitter, click HERE!!!

So what do you think? What design would you pick if you were ordering a custom nail design set from B. Nichole Nails? Let me know in the comments!!
