Review: Face Candy Couture +Giveaway!! ***CLOSED***

Monday, December 13, 2010

New makeup!!! Yay!!! I love trying new makeup above anything else, I will admit. Face Candy Couture is a natural mineral eye shadow company. The owner, Shantle, sent me six colors to play with! Let get started with the review!.............

The colors I received were Turning,Chill,Pinecone, Blended, Cider and Sarah.
Here's how they look. They are all shimmers.
My first look was a Pinecone/Blended combo.... Pinecone is a soft shimmery brown, goes on pigmented and actually darker than it looks. Blended is a light pink taupe shimmer.
Pinecone on the lid, Blended on the brow bone. I didn't like the combo that much. It came off very gray.

The second look was Sarah/Chill combo. They look like, right. Chill is a blue black shimmer and Sarah is a grey black shimmer. I thought they would be much more different.

Sarah on the lid, Chill in the crease and above. Sarah was pigment was not as dark as I would have liked it. I think it would fair better with a black base like NYX Black Bean.

The third look is Cider/Turning/Blended/Pinecone.
This was my favorite look with the FCC shadows!!! Cider on the lid, Turning in the inner corner, Pinecone in the crease and Blended on the brow bone.

Cider would be an awesome blush!! Turning is a gorgeous yellow green. I dont own anything like it!

Overall:

FCC shadows are beautiful shimmers and great price. The owner Shantle, is great as well, providing all the info you need when you order and after you order. I would love it, in the future, if there were some mattes added to her collection of colors.

The Ultimate List of the Most Expensive Celebrity Baby Photos Ever

Friday, December 10, 2010

What is it about celebrities that draws us in? We just can’t seem to get enough of the top paid Hollywood actors and celebrities. We follow their every move and demand to know what’s going on in their world. When it comes time for their pregnancy and the birth of their children, we just have to be in the know on all of the details. We will pay for the magazines that feature the best stories and of course the best photos. So it should come as no surprise that when a publication features something so exclusive that the general public must read about first, there is a great deal of money exchanged. Here we look at some of the most expensive celebrity baby photos in history.

Emme and Max
The beautiful and very popular twins of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony get top billing for the exclusivity and price tag attached to their first baby picture. People Magazine was the first publication to get this exclusive shot and it is reported that they paid over $6 million to get it. The magazine was one of the top selling in history and the pictures were not only beautiful, but the public adored them.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt
When this beautiful little girl first made her appearance, the world couldn’t wait to catch a glimpse of her. With parents as gorgeous as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt it’s no wonder that the world couldn’t wait to see how stunning this baby girl was. People Magazine also got this exclusive first shot and paid the hefty price tag of $4.1 million to do so. When the couple received this money they could have pocketed it, but they donated it to charities in need which made it a very lucrative and beneficial exchange.

Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt
As if the price tag for their sister’s photo wasn’t high enough, these twins really commanded some big bucks. With the arrival of the twins of couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the world seemed on pins and needles to catch that first and very important glimpse. The price tag for this first baby photo—a staggering $15 million! People captured this exclusive as well and couldn’t keep the magazines on the shelf so it was a wise investment.

Dannilynn Smith
The daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith commanded a cool $2 million price tag. Though this little girl seemed to get more attention after her mother’s untimely death that occurred shortly after her birth, the price tag was still high. The world continues to watch this little girl and her likeness to her late Hollywood mom.

Need positivity? Try SOMbands...

Monday, December 06, 2010

Last week was an incredibly hard week. I had a bronchitis that turned into a head cold which I believe was borderline pneumonia. None of it got properly diagnosed because I'm truly an American...I have no health insurance. Then the week has started off rough, I'm just looking toward anything positive I can...

That's when I put on my "Happiness is a state of mind " SOMband.....:)

What is SOMbands?

SOMbands is not the bands or t-shirts or even the messages on the products. SOMbands is an ideology.

It is all of those people out there who, despite disease, disabilities and setbacks, have accomplished things that many of us would deem impossible.

It's doing your best in everything, in every way, no matter what life throws at you because there are others who, through their sweat and tears and raw determination, have blazed the path and shown us what the human spirit is capable of accomplishing.

SOMbands, with its simple messages, tries to remind people of these things. Our purpose is to enlighten, empower and encourage people to do more, to be more and to realize that no matter how hard something seems, someone out there has always done more with less.

I put my SOMBand on at a truly rough spot today. I should have put it on this morning when stuff started to really go wrong. It brings a focal point to your situation, Happiness is a state of mind. I believer things will get better and I will be happy some how.

Check out SOMbands online!!
