RG Project:Santee' 3Dimensional Make-Up Kit...

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

On Monday, I was flipping around Spartanburg between interview and stumbled into Santee' Cosmetics in one of my favorite stores...$1.25 jewelry store, This N' That....

I got this one and another one I'll review, for $1.50 a piece and two lipgloss( review soon) for $1.25 a piece. It was a very, very good cheap makeup fix that ya girl needed after a long day job hunting...:)

I got this one...which has no name...mainly for the green in it. The texture is very soft and pigment is amazing but....
The fall- out is crazy!! You need a stiff brush and you have to pack it on to not have a mess. But the color is not a game!!! What you see is what you get!

Here I worked the green, the charcoal black and the white to create the eye...

Because the color is intense, it needs demanding blending. I like them so far. Some makeup addicts would put there noses in the air on this $1.50 treasure, but I am on a mission to collect more of them. They even have a line nail art colors.:) More Santee' to come!!

Review:Softsoap Body Butter Coconut Scrub Body Wash...

Review Time!!!
I got Softsoap Body Butter Coconut Scrub Body Wash a couple weeks back when CVS was running a "buy @ 4.99 get 4.99 in Extra Bucks back". Sounds 'Free' right? ha!! I love taking showers more in the summer than the winter and I also love fully stocked shower gel collection in my shower in the summer.
Positive: I love the smell. It's sorta perfume-y than coconut-y which I thought it might be. The texture of the wash after it was sudsy was creamy and not foamy. It really softened my skin. It washed off good, leaving no material behind on the skin. You could used this every day and not feel irriatated unless you have sensitive skin.
Negative:It's full of these little particles, which I assume is their version of the 'Scrub' in the wash. It feels like crushed walnuts all over you....grainy, but does the job of softening the skin. The bottle is huge and cumbersome in the shower. I was afraid I was going drop it on my foot! lol! Maybe something sleeker and with a pump would work better.
Consensus:I'll use this up but will not buy it again.Sorry Softsoap:(

N.O.T.D. N.Y.C. In A New York Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in Park Avenue...

Hi Cuzins!!!

I'm back and focused!!! I had long and very nice weekend. Then, I slept wrong on Saturday and woke up with the worst 'crick' in my neck and upper back. I've been battling this pain for three days!!! But, I feel a bit better:)

I picked up N.Y.C's In a New York Minute Quick Dry Nail Color in Park Avenue ( all the colors are named by places in NYC)with a coupon for a Free N.Y.C product under 2.87 coupon found in All For You Magazine( that's only sold@ Wal-Mart).

It does exactly what it says, dries quickly. I like the shade I choose, even though after three coats I could see my nail underneath. Plus, a top coat is essential for this nail polish formula. It was chipping when I woke up the next morning.
