~Review + Swatches~ Essence The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Collection....

Friday, November 09, 2012

Hey Everyone,

So, I showed ya'll what I got at Ulta this last time I was there in this post. Some of it was Essence The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 Collection. I like Essence products. I have had only their polish up until Ulta came closer to my area, now I'm here for the makeup!! Check out what I scooped up!

Pigment in Alice Had A Vision-Again, polish in Alice Had A Vision-Again, and blush in Renesmee Red.
This is two coats of Alice Had A Vision Again. Gorgeous dark purple jelly with micro duochrome violet and blue glitter.
 (without flash)
Here are some swatches of the pigment in Alice Had A Vision-Again and blush in Renesmee Red. There were two other pigments on the display but I skipped those because have some pigments similar in those shades. Renesmee Red blush was the only blush I saw on the display for this collection.
Renesmee Red blush goes on me like orange-red blush. The pigmentation of the blush is reminiscent of MAC Sheertone blushes. The wear on the blush is crazy, its lasts ALL DAY. I wonder if all the Essence blushes are like that?
I played the Alice Had A Vision-Again pigment and even though its gorgeous, it needs a black of purple base to  bring out its full duochrome fabulousness. I just wanted to apply it without a black or purple base to show  how it looks without them. This pigment had great long wear as well...no melting or creasing with a basic eyeshadow pigment underneath.

I admit, I've never seen any of the Twilight movies. :(I'm sure I'm missing some thing because I haven't seen them! lol

~Haul~ Ulta Haul and New Beauty Products Spotted!!!

Wednesday, November 07, 2012

Hey Everyone!!

I went to Ulta on Saturday and grabbed some goodies with a 20% coupon and a couple of Revlon coupons. I've sworn to never enter that store without a coupon! The funny thing is I haven't purchased anything "high end" in my Ulta yet. I'm waiting on the holiday sets and such and my store wasn't fully stocked on them as of Saturday.:)

 Goodies!!!!
These are two new Revlon polishes from the Holiday collection. The colors (left to right) are Midnight Sparkle and Ruby Ribbon.
I spotted a new Essence collection based on The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2. That whole collection was GORGEOUS and affordable. I only picked up three pieces: Pigment in Alice Had A Vision-Again, polish in Alice Had A Vision-Again, and blush in Renesmee Red.
After seeing Crystalis007 rave about these, I got on of the NYX Color Lip Balm in Tack. They are only $2.99 and I'm going back for MORE. lol
I got the Ulta Beauty Palette, Film Noir.... Super pretty colors....looks and FOTDs very soon from this palette to be posted.
***************CHRISTMAS WISH LIST ALERT!!!!**************************

I spotted Sally Hansen Insta Gel Strips Kits. I'm a huge fan of the Sally Hansen Polish Strips and I'm very interested in gel nails. I WANT THIS SET! Its only $29.99 for a starter kit including the UV Light.

Check out the designs. Most of them look new and some of them are the designs for the Nail Strips collection. I'm accepting Ulta gift cards this season for Christmas...or I might buy it for myself for Christmas.

~Fresh Coat~ Election Day 2012 Manicure And Other Fabulousity....

Tuesday, November 06, 2012

Hey Everyone!

It's Election Day here in the United States and I woke up "Fired Up, Ready To Go!"

I gave my nails patriotic tease last night. I've been going crazy with dots since I found my dotting tool.

I used Kleancolor White for the dots...
I used N.Y.C. Blue Rush as the base....
I used  L.A. Colors Hot Blooded and Sally Hansen Celeb City for the dots as well.....
I did a super simple, FAST face this morning before going to vote and taking my boys to the allergy specialist. My lips are Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance Lipstick in Fierce.

My Election Day stack is brought to you by Alex Elle, Fulle Circkle, Starbucks and the $1 Jewelry Store...

Hey Everyone!

I haven't ran up on a good clearance in a long time. I'm waiting and anticipating Christmas beauty gift sets and day after Christmas, when it all goes on sale.:)

I popped into Rite-Aid, actually to look for JulieG holiday polish collection. and ran up on an EPIC Clearance in the beauty section.

All of this....each product was under $2.50....
I only own one Nicole for OPI Kardashian Kolor...and I hate it. However, I was NOT going to leave these $2.24 sets there! No I was NOT!!
$.99 polish: Sinful Colors, N.Y.C and Maybelline Color Show polish that is the current Fall collection.
I grabbed some ma.nish.ma glosses for $.99. First time trying this brand.
When you see Sally Hansen Salon tools and sale...GRAB IT. I also got a nail art pen.

These are two of the full price products I got from L'Oreal's Holiday 2012 Collection, which I could have purchase every piece of it. I can't wait to used the Nail Lingerie. They look like sexy delicate fishnets in the packaging.

~Holiday 2012~ Review: Laura Mercier Deluxe Travel Brush Collection....

Friday, November 02, 2012

Hey Everyone!!

I got another Holiday Beauty set for my family! This time its the Laura Mercier Deluxe Travel Brush Collection. Here are some details on the set:

DELUXE TRAVEL BRUSH COLLECTION INCLUDES: 9 Full-Size Brush Heads (4 Double-Ended, 1 Full-Size)
Double-Ended Secret Camouflage/Camouflage Powder Brush
Double-Ended All Over Eye Colour/ Pony Tail Brush
Double-Ended Flat Eye Liner/Smudge Brush
Double-Ended Brow Definer/Brow Grooming Brush
Full-Size Cheek Colour Brush

Like the information above says, nine full head brushes: four are double ended and one full size.
The brushes come in a hard case makeup bag that includes a magnetic mesh bag in the middle that's removable.
I put some my other full size brushes in the pockets and they fit pretty good....So traveling with these brushes and your other brushes should be a breeze.

This pictures shows the travel brush set it the mesh magnetic bag.....perfect fit!
Full Size Cheek Color Brush- Very soft and fits the apples of my cheek perfectly.
Double Ended Brown Definer/Brow Grooming Brush- I love a "spoolie" for grooming my wild brows. The Brown Definer end has very tight hairs that pick up color very good and was perfect for filling in my brows.
Double Ended All Over Eye Colour/Pony Tail Brush- I was really surprised by the All Over Colour Brush. Its wider than I'm used to but I found it to give me a really great and FAST all over color on the lid because it picks up so much color. The Pony Tail Brush is a brush I'm still getting used it. It doesn't do it for me when it comes to blending but its to big for the outer corner of the eye color. I'm very confused on how to use this end!
Double Ended Secret Camouflage/Camouflage Powder Brush- I don't wear much concealer, but if you do, the small end it great for small areas to cover and the larger end fit great under the eye.

Double Ended Flat Eye Liner/Smudge Brush- I love a smudge brush, great for lower lid color. The Flat Eye Liner is really helping me get the hang of doing winged liner with its flat liner edge.

Consensus:

The brush set is a STEAL at $95. Seriously, nine high end brand brushes with full size brush heads and a beautiful case is an awesome deal from Ms. Mercier. However, if you own some of these brushes, say in a travel size or you don't travel or carry brushes with you, you will not see it as a deal. I only found three of the nine to be a bit unusable to me right now. The brushes are also perfect for everyday use, to put in a gym bag or in your desk at work. I'm loving this set!:)
