Thursday, January 15, 2009

It's Founder's Day for my amazing and beautiful sorority,Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated...founded on this day, January 15, 1908 on the campus of Howard University.

I'm very " I crossed the burning sands last night" today. But, I can do that!!!! *singing, "I got a big egooooooo"* lol!!

I've had this shirt since I crossed back in 1996. Amazing, I still can wear it.:)

YES, a Diva also did pink and green eye makeup to go with the shirt and the nails.lol! I used the emerald green colors and white from the Mally Roncal from Sephora palette and Jessie's Girl Baked e/s in Volcanic.

N.O.T.D.: AKA Founder's Day Special....

Happy Founder's Day to all of the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated!!!! 101 years and standing!!!!!

I felt like a neophyte when I started this nail design last night. I decided to do all of the nails with design instead of the just the pinkie or the ring finger.

I used for the base color, ChG Emerald Sparkle( Thanks Aisha!), the pink design in Ruby Kisses in Carnival and the White is a basic nail design color I purchased at Sally.

I've gotten some great compliments on my nails, including, "Where you get your nails done at?" and you know what my answer was...
"At my house":)

Review: Revlon Matte Eye Shadow....

Hi Everyone!!! I have a super duper crazy review for you today on Revlon Matte Eye Shadow. Yesterday, I picked these up at CVS for 4.99 plus tax for both( BOGO Free on All Revlon...go NOW!!). I saw them at Rite-Aid Monday...but they didn't have the sale.
Here are some great points aboutRevlon Matte Eye Shadow:
-They are very satiny in texture
-Great pigment, no building, just a clean brush will give you the color you see.
-True to color! I got ( from the left) Vintage Lace for my brow bone and Rich Sable for my crease and lash line for smoky looks and they went on just like they look in the case!!Brava Revlon!!

I did an eye with a dark shimmery green from the old Mally Roncal Sephora Palette with Rich Sable in the crease and Vintage Lace on the brow bone...gah!

Lips are a oldie but great-y from Revlon too...Revlon Super Lustrous in Nude Lustre...

So, my CVS only had four of colors available. There are more, including this brilliant royal blue color that I saw at Rite Aid and can't get my mind off of!!!

Okay Sally Hansen,I Get it and NOTD: SH Pronto Purple...

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

I pick up the February or January Essence( I don't know...its pretty wack anyway...) to find answer to the Sally Hansen Insta Dri problem...that messed up brush.

Come to find out that the brush is designed for a one coat application. Oh..Ok...well maybe SH should have let some one know!! The technique really works. I picked to yesterday...not because I found that out...I liked them! I got Blazing Blue and Pronto Purple...
Pronto Purple is the best purple I've ran across all season long!!! I tried my hand at little stones on the ring finger...my cuticles need work!! That's my next project.
