Review: Cantu Shea Butter Break Cure Strenghtening Treatment....

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

Two weeks ago, I bought Cantu Shea Butter Break Cure in search of a daily moisturizer. I thought to myself, since I love the relaxer,I would like this, too. Even though on the website its described to use...Directions: After rinsing shampoo, apply a generous amount of conditioner to hair. Massage in from the roots to the tips. Rinse thoroughly. Style as usual, the jar states it can be used as a daily moisturizer.
So, I apply it and seal my hair with my oil mix. It takes to much product to "cover" the hair. Then it doesn't do anything special...
But the worst part...It doesn't work well with heated appliances...AT ALL. I tried flat iron my hair after putting on a bit for a shine and it made my hair hard as a brick.
No more products from Cantu outside of that banging relaxer they make. boo.:(

yeah I don't like Cantu products! I went allllll the way a hood DC rite aid to get the Cantu shea butter moisturizer (because they choose not to carry it in the suburbs of VA, AS IF!!!) anyways, I got it b/c my friend's fabulous curls always looked amazing! She said she used this cantu moisturizer! So when I used it the first few times I figured my hair was just getting used to it, but after the 4th time, i realized this stuff was just AWFUL and wasn't good for my hair! so yeah pffft to Cantu! LOL

I use Cantu Break Cure and love it. I never use any hair product that is packed with benefits. It is very rare to find a product that adds protein and while moisturizing at the same time. Professional stylist recommends you use a moisturizer and an oil base product o seal the moisture in. I use Break Cure as a daily hair dressing and a heat protector when using my blow dryer and flat iron.
This product keeps my hair soft, especially when I am exposed to harsh conditions for extended periods of time (air condition, or the sun).
When I apply the product before applying heat is smoothes the hair cuticle leaving it straight and shinny. Sometimes after washing my hair; I air dry my hair, apply Cantu Break Cure, flat wrap my hair and tie it with a silk scarf, the results are remarkable.
So I would have to disagree that with the comment(s) before that this product isn’t good. I will agree that all products don’t work for everyone.
