~Fresh Coat~ Cover Girl Outlast Nail Polish in Peaches & Cream...

Monday, May 20, 2013

Hey Everyone!!

I never do "before & after" after photos with polish but when I use a polish that claims, "no chipping" or "long lasting results" or "color stay" or "outlast", B&As are inappropriate for the post.

Its taken me a minute to pick up one of these CoverGirl Outlast Nail Gloss polishes. They are really small and run $5-$6. Not a deal for me. However, blogger MissJia instagrammed her nail in Peaches & Cream and I was smitten. I went to the cheapest place I know for CoverGirl, Walmart, and picked it up.

This is two coats with a top coat and on the ring finger, Spoiled by Wet N' Wild in Jewelry Heist.

If you look closely to the ring finger, I have chip, that showed up about an hour after the manicure.

I knew this was not going to be good. LOL!

Three days later....my nails are looking dusty and rusty. I've used another drugstore brand "long lasting" polish and didn't have these chipping problems. I even double checked myself, "Were my coats thin or too thick?" "What base coat did I use?" But the reality is, the polish doesn't Outlast nothing. At least on MY NAILS.

I'm glad I only bought one Cover Girl Outlast Nail Gloss...and this will be my only one.

~Review~ tarte Call Of The Wild Amazonian Clay 8-Shadow Collector's Palette....

Thursday, September 13, 2012

The cool breezes of the upcoming fall are inspiring lots of Fall makeup tutorials on the blog-sphere and on YouTube. I am all in for smoky eyes, dark burgundy lips and touches of gold sparkle in the right places!

I'm digging tarte Call Of The Wild palette because it gives you an awesome selection of smoky, neutrals and combination of both!

There are eight shades: (starting from the left) meow, jungle, call, instinct, wild, lynx, primal, and roar. The names of the shades are on the plastic sanitary cover, so unless you don't care about that covering, don't throw it away!

Jungle, meow, instinct, call, wild are all shimmers. The pigmentation is medium as most tarte eye shadows are.
Lynx, primal, roar are mattes but the pigmentation on these are high. They pack a great color punch.

This look I used call, primal, roar, jungle and instinct. I loved this look!

I used the mattes: primal, roar, and linx and they created a really nice smoky blueish grey look.

The shadows are made of tarte's Amazonian Clay which has a great lasting power. Call of the Wild is priced at $36.

Anyone own this tarte palette? Let me know!
