I really don't know when I'm going to be able to start reading all of the this! Currently,I'm reading Always Wear Joy by Susan Fales-Hill. Great, great book by the way. I just picked up D.V by Diana Vreeland today at B&N and the new Elle and Vanity Fair. The Fashionista Files,I've had for a while and just found in my suitcase last night. I'm packing up to go my alumni, Winthrop University, Homecoming 2007. I'll finish reading Always Wear Joy and then hit the mags. I actually read my whole March 2007 Bon Appetit last night.

Wink vs. Wink

Wednesday, February 07, 2007

One of my New Years' resolutions was to learn how to put on liquid eyeliner.I want the wing- tipped Alicia Keys eye. Contrary to popular belief( or the belief of my girlfriends),I don't know how to apply every thing makeup. I still don't know how to put on false lashes. But, back to me and the eyeliner. I have two liquid eyeliners ready for experimentation, mark. winkink and Tarte Indelible Wink both in black.

mark. Winkink- I put this on the left eye this morning. I shook up as instructed but still had to run over the line a couple of times to get full color. The tip in felt like a magic marker and was dry like magic marker could get. I like that you can handle to well and the tip is pretty stiff.

Tarte Indelible Wink- This liner has two ends, a liquid line brush end and a black eyeshadow felt marker like end. I did the liner(right eye) first which is a thin paint brush that comes out. I did it all crooked but the color was a deep black, not shreaky. When I DO get it right I will not have to worry about running over the line and again and again. The eyeshadow end, I skipped because I wanted a sharp line look. Maybe when I do a black smokey eye, that end will come in handy.

Conclusion- I need major practice, so don't no ask me to do eyeliner this weekend at Homecoming.:)

Good Morning Spring!!??

Tuesday, February 06, 2007

And you say:
1) What is all this J? Seriously you have like 15 hundred pink lips glosses, dude?

2) Spring? Where in the hell do you live?

Answers:

1) This is part of the lip gloss empire that lives in my room/boys room with some eye shadows for good measure. I'm seeing what I have before I go and buy MORE pinky, sheer lip glosses. For real, this is just a taste of what I really own.

2)I live in the Carolinas and last week we had some weak ass snow so spring will be here soon. We don't have no kind winter, unless you live in the mountains.

Conclusion:

Doing inventory of what I have doesn't work. I try though. And Spring...Its coming...

I'm simply crazy over these new lipglosses sent from Lucy B this weekend!

It look rosy and bright, almost like the wind caused it! Tigerlily has a alot of pigment and is true to color in the tube. After a Cafe' Au Lait at Cafe Ishi, I applied Hibiscus, and it look just as pretty. I need more colors now especially Coconut Kiss and Glamourama. Please believe what Lucy B tells you,

Nouveau Nappyhead Product Rave and Review!!

I received Mixed Chicks Leave In Conditioner sample a couple a months ago. I love the smell of yummy bananas and softness It leaves my hair but it didn't give me the definition I wanted. I think when my hair gets longer it will work better.

I received the Knot Today and the Curling Custard from, Kinky-Curly in the mail not too long ago. I'll admit the first time I used the products, it was a disaster! I was instructed to put the Knot Today on first and then the Curling Custard on very wet hair, no towel dry. my hair was wet all day long! It never dried! So the next time, I towel dried it a bit then applied as instructed again. It gave me great curl definition, just like a texturizer but I think I wait til my hair is longer on this one as well. It might just be I need another inch, so that my hair will look like a want it to.
