~Fresh Coat~ Essie Case Study....

Monday, September 12, 2011

Happy Monday!!! I hope your weekend were great, my family! I stayed busy doing things here and there, so I can't complain.

So far, I've only picked up Case Study from Essie Fall 2011 Brand New Bag Collection. Essie NAILS ( literally) their fall collection. The last couple of Fall seasons from them have been right up my alley. Case Study is a taupe grey with a bit of green undertone. It looks hard to wear but I put it on my hands and toes....and I love it. I also like that Essie is now in drugstores, I got mine at CVS...and goes toward my Beauty Bucks...all $8 of it.:/ That's the gag...even though Essie is more convenient...its still $8. lol!

Still lemming Very Structured, Lady Like and Carry On from this collex.

Have you picked any of the Brand New Bag Collection? Let me know what colors!

~Rural Style~ 2012 Spring/Summer New York Fashion Week Goodness....

Saturday, September 10, 2011

Whilst I sit in Nowheresville SC drooling over the coverage in NY about 2012 Spring/Summer Fashion Week on twitter, I notice this year its super viral with my entire timeline( almost) tweeting, linking, vlogging about everything thats going on! I speak it into existence, that I WILL be there soon...its on the bucket list.:)

I came across to great videos on the IFB Conference and NYC Fashion's Night Out.....

First up in Wing( Diva Makeup Queen) coverage on her night out...really cute and put together well!!

Then there is Monroe Steele of Fashion Steele who is blogging all the way thru the IFB Conference and different shows. She also has a Part1,2,3 on how to get into Fashion Week shows and events as a blogger that are amazing...check out this super fashionable wrap up of the IFB Conference!

~Fresh Coat~ JulieG Jessie's Girl Nail Polish...

Friday, September 09, 2011

First I want to say....Yay for JulieG! I really like her on You Tube...she has great videos and I enjoy watching her. She's also a polish addict so I love that she was able to do a polish collection from an affordable brand. I think that what was missing from MAC Blogger's Obesession...a polish or two. Anyway, I was excited to bump into the collection on yesterday. I only got two colors: Fashion Friday and Beauty Guru.

Now...no shade....I kind of snickered and side eyed when she named one of the color Beauty Guru...seriously... lol

( left to right) Fashion Friday and Beauty Guru. Two coats on each swatch...they seem very opaque which is a good thing. The other colors I gave a pass too because I thought they were a bit done. I'm like that though, I don't like the same color of polish done by different companies. For example, I own like one red polish ( NARS Jungle Red) because its my perfect red...I don't need twenty variations of that same polish, unless it was laced in duochrome glitter.:) lol!

What do you think? Have you all saw these JulieG polishes yet?

Here's the video of her swatches and talking about the whole collection..flawless summary of each color.

~Fresh Coat~ Maybelline LE Fashion Week 2011 Collection Polish....

Yesterday, I was able to spot some of the most sought after drugstore collections this fall. I was actually shocked to find several of them, including the Maybelline LE Fashion Week 2011 collection in its entirety. I picked up a blush and three bottles of polish: ( left to right) Natural Beauty, Cool Couture, and Mauve Accents...

Maybelline definitely didn't put any thought in those names (lol!) but none the less, I think the colors are on trend and really pretty for this season...

These are two coats each on each swatch. The flash picks up the color about 95% correct. Mauve Accents reminds me of Essie Island Hopping. I might do a comparison of the two...hmmmm....

What do you think? Which color should I wear first? Let me know:)

~Fall 2011 Beauty~ Stocking Up For Fall With Essence of Beauty Bath and Body!!

Thursday, September 08, 2011

~Ready to save money, smell good and earn CVS Extra Bucks all at the same time? Let me show you...~

Besides being a makeup hoarder, I love bath and body products, it just comes with the territory, right? I live about an hour from the nearest mall so stores like Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret are only accessible by a distance or online. I love for things to be at my gasp so I love Essence of Beauty Bath and Body products to quell that craving to smell delicious and save money...

Stocking up on a new body buff and makeup sponges allows you to  throw away the ones you used all summer long that need to be at the bottom of the trash can!! Each beauty purchase at CVS goes toward your  Extra Care Beauty Club balance so when you hit $50 you get $5 Extra Bucks to spend in the store...this INCLUDES Essence of Beauty Products.
I can honestly say that over the years EOB Bath & Body has step up theirgame!! About four weeks ago EOB B&B had a 3/$10 product sale and I grabbed three of the shower gels...including Japanese Garden( the last spray on the end the picture is Japanese Garden). Its a very soft, pretty, mild scent...reminds me of Dove's scent...very classic.  I just picked up a Tropical Papaya lotion to match the shower gel ( the bottle in the middle of this picture). Its the most intense tropical scent I've ever used!

Right now EOB Bath & Body is Buy One Get One 50%...so you can get two of the products, like the body lotions for under $10!!!! Grab Japanese Garden and Tropical Papaya for me!!!

I  received a free product (or products) for review purposes. I did not receive any form of compensation from the company. All opinions are my own and not influenced in anyway. My reviews are my personal and honest opinions
