Review: Jesse's Girl Loose Powder and Terra Firma Cosmetics...

Thursday, December 04, 2008

In my November My Pretty Pink Box, I received a coupon for a Free Multi Task for eyes, lips, and cheeks from Terra Firma Cosmetics...I choose Hazelnut "Satin". Ya'll know I have a liking for bronze and gold eye shadows...:)

I also received, in the same box, a full size sample of Jesse's Girl Eye Dust. The jar didn't have a name, but it reminds me of MAC Vanilla piggie which is my all time favorite MAC product...
I first did the Terra Firma Multi Task in Hazelnut on the lid to the crease. Its definitely "satin" in texture, with bits of shimmer that blend in. It actually came out to be very much like a eye shadow, pressed, than a loose powder than loose. Very little fall-out too! I can't wait to see how this looks as a cheek color or mixed in a clear gloss, OR mixed in a little translucent powder for all of over glow...It's definitely a Multi-Tasker!!
Terra Firma also has some great ways on using the Multi-Task... I got the 9-piece stacker wand and Dream Kit on my wishlist!

Here's a full frontal of the Jessie's Girl Eye Dust and Terra Firma Hazelnut. The Jessie's Girl Eye Dust is not MAC quality but is a great brow bone highlighter when applied with pinky finger and patted in....

*I have a double, huge chin* I'm also showing off my new earrings that I received in a Accessory Swap sponsored by That Girl...thanks Angie!!

Bonus RG Project!:L'Oreal H.I.P. Pure Pigment Shadow Stick in Irresistible and Captivating...

Wednesday, December 03, 2008

Surprise Surprise!!! A bonus project with H.I.P Pure Pigment Shadow Sticks in Captivating and Irresistible. I actually tried to sell these "brand new, never "on Ebay but they didn't sell, so I thought I could take them on. I have the blue one and the green one also and when I used them the color was wack and too light, so they are buried somewhere in my eye shadow drawer...

But, I'll admit, I'm going to dig them up today!!! Here's why:
I went on L'Oreal website to see how to used the pigment sticks. It said they can be used dry for a lighter look or wet for intensity. Ok, wet they will be on me. First, I wet a brush and tried apply it to my lid but it way too light. So you know what your cousin did? She put the top of the stick under some running WARM water, shook off the water and got to work on her eye with the stick.
The color just BLOOMED! Big pink and purple power, looked like I had put lipstick on my lids. Of course, my camera skills do it no justice.
Now, I got my sticks at CVS during summer when they were 50% off. I think CVS took it out of their plan-o-gram because I saw them at my Walgreens and at Wal-Whizzle. So I don't think they are entirely discontinued....

Me and my busted glasses...I can't see real good lately so having rock them more...:(

N.O.T.D: Essie Pama....

Tuesday, December 02, 2008

Hi!!

Here's a N.O.T.D. of Essie Pama. It was free promotional sign-up between Pama Liqueur and Essie that I received as an email a couple of weeks ago. I never get the any LE makeup or collections that come out. Either I'm broke, to cheap to buy it, or not interested because I've read 50-11 blogs rave on it.Well, I got my Essie Pama last week and the MUA nail board was going bananas on when everyone was getting theirs in the mail.

I have to say...its prettier in the bottle than on me. I thought it would be a deeper red on but its a bright read on me. It looks like Essie Fishnet Stockings on my nails. *sigh* I only put two coats on...maybe be three would have been the trick.

Who else got this and what do you think about it? Let your cousin know.:)

RG Project...Nine Days of L'Oreal H.I.P....Forgiving...Day 9...

Okay...Forgive me for this wack photo of the H.I.P. Duo in Forgiving. I forgot to snap a photo of it at home before I came over to my Mom's house to partake in her free wi-fi. But...Cuzins!!...God is So Good! I got blessed with a new computer courtesy of my auntie the day before Thanksgiving!!!

Cue The Shouting Music......!!!

So, as soon as a break down and get some internet of my own....grrr....I'll be posting from the house. And will never have to remember to bring everything with me when I come over Momma's.

Now, this is last installment of the Project, but I will say, I bought two more H.I.P. e/s' yesterday at Walgreens. So I got two more reviews coming soon. I remember buying Forgiving, thinking that this is a weird combo of blue and brown. The first time I used it, it didn't work for me. But after eight days of getting to know my H.I.P. e/s' I felt I could do this one...again.

First, I'm so proud of my blending technique!! Are you not proud of me!! It looks so nice!! lol!

The turquoise color is pretty but a bit deceiving. You think it's intense but its that same "hard to work" color that I've come across in their shadows. The brown color, however, is perfect, true to life, and a great day shadow.
Thanks to everyone who has checked out my RG Project on the H.I.P. eye shadows...:) I love you all! I'm so blessed to be able shared a passion for makeup, beauty, and fashion and I thank God for this talent, even though shelter it alot and some what scared of it. I'm working hard at letting it take its course:)

RG Project...Nine Days of L'Oreal H.I.P....Dynamic...Day 8...

Monday, December 01, 2008

Hi All!!

This morning on the 8th day of the L'Oreal H.I.P. eye shadow duo Project and did Dynamic. I'm not quite hot on it. The lighter muted gold side took too much effort for the color. Like layers and layers before I got the intensity I like. The dark taupe black side was so-so, so this whole duo is declared a miss. Anybody got this one and what do I think about it? Speak...:)
