Coffee or Tea?

Both for me!! LOL!

I love coffee and I love tea, so trying out Village Tea Company was the perfect excuse to get 'tea wasted' for awhile.:)

The good people over at Village Tea Company, sent me an awesome package that included a full size of Sweet Grace Vanilla Rooibos, "Village Teasers" of Simply Earl Grey, Cherry Me Bloom Rooibos, Gentle Organic Lemon Ginger Green Tea, and Sassy Green Tea with Acai. Also include was the Mobile Teapot.

My favorite out of the teas was Sweet Grace Vanilla Rooibos, a fragrant bit of heaven. The vanilla is perfect with the rooibos and perfect for any time of day. I added a bit of cream and sugar and it was divine. The full size teas come with 50 filter bags to craft you own tea bag. Perfect when I want my drink to be bit 'heavy'. The mobile teapot is fantastic for on the go. I haven't quite got the the loose tea and filter part right, though. I think I suppose to heat the water, put the loose tea in and then strain it through, I think. Its safe to say, I'm not Go-Go-Gadget Jamie! lol!

Review and Giveaway: Joy of Soap!!!

Well, If you like to be clean The Joy of Soap is where it is at! The Joy of Soap is a company that stands on their Green Practices and provides moisturizing, organic, natural soaps and other products. They are made of sustainable ingredients and fine craftsmanship.

I love naturally made soaps and have tried a few, but Joy of Soap soaps are impressive. Firs,t they solidly made. I've had natural soaps in the past that fall apart when you get them. They also are moisturizing which some natural soaps don't provide that extra softness.


I tried Lay Me Down Lavender and Two in the Shower Tea Tree. I like the natural, authentic scent of the lavender bar. I've used it for a month and it still has most of its original size, too....
Two in the Shower Tea Tree is great for problem body skin such as acne.I have shoulder and chest body acne and notice when I used this, it stayed away.:)

Green Glam: Seventh Generation....Part One...

I'll admit, as big a fashion junkie that I am, I wear the same clothing over and over. My palette of colors are basic: black, white, grey, and cream.This Fall ,I'll be throwing the demin back in ( wayyy too hot to wear jeans here this summer) .So, I like to take care my clothes and my kids' clothes, which where all the money for clothes goes!

Seventh Generation has a great line of laundry products that work wonders and are safe for the environment. I tried their Natural 2X Concentrated Laundry Liquid,Natural Fabric Softener Sheets in Blue Eucalyptus and Lavender,Chlorine Free Bleach, and100 % Recyclable Bathroom Tissue.

The 2X Concentrated Laundry Liquid got some of worst stains( like marker stains and dirty socks) clean despite the small amount you used for a full load. I'm so use to using so much detergent,I was nervous that things would not come clean with a small amount! They did. Same with the Chlorine Free Bleach.I believe in bleach for my and the kids' whites. Worked great!

The Fabric Softener is actually a paper sheet with the softener on it. Its very scented on the sheet but the scent doesn't stick to the clothes which I like. So if you are a' scented' fabric softener person, this would not be your product but on the other hand, the product is neat. After the clothes are dry the sheet comes out as a ball of paper that are compostable and great for the environment.

The Bathroom Tissue wasn't really any different that your basic bathroom tissue. I normally use the softest there is in bathroom tissue ( if you see what I'm saying;)lol) which also can be super thick and bad for your septic system. Even though the Bathroom Tissue is thin,it flushes fast and lessens the expected costs of sewer repairs. That's a good enough reason to use it!!

Glam Grub: Yogavive....

Getting all my fruits and veggie intake for the day is hard work for me! I'm such a carb head...I honestly think that's what's keeping my weight so stagnant.

My Birthday Wishlist!

On September 23, I will be a gleeming 33, if its Lord's will!

I'm not afraid to speak my age. If anything I'm proud and blessed.I never, EVER imagined my life in my 30s, often didn't think I would make it. That's why my first birthday wish is to be alive with my family intact.

HOWEVER...I love gifts and to be showered with love. I dont have a significant other and none of my real close friends live by so my'celebrating' is limited. That's ok, though. Each year that passes, God shows me who's loyal and who's not on September 23. I smile when i think He is a God of restoration. You lose some and gain better.

Glam Health: Aroma Home Snuggle Me....

If you are like me and have the period FROM HELL every month....there is nothing like hot compress to keep you cramps in check. I probably keep ThermaCare Menstrual Heat Wraps in business the way I buy them. So I when I got the chance to review Aroma Home Snuggle Me Microwavable Hottie was Ready, Set, Go!

Aroma Home Snuggle Me is a natural flax seed filled compress that is scented with strawberry and vanilla. You heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds( max time: 1 minute) and you have instant warm bliss....
I found that the 30 seconds, not even the one minute, was hot enough for me. I put in at 2 minutes and it was warm-hot, which worked. It stayed pretty hot for about 2 hours, or at least I think. The three times I've used it, I've fallen asleep with it on! So soothing:) The scent is wonderful too but I could do without it. Maybe a Lavender scent would be more soothing....

3)wear my hair out once a week( new one: I need wear my hair out at least once a week, I'll try and see if I can do it, probably on Tuesday, which is wash day)

4) Wash hair on Tuesday

5) Deep Condition this week

6) Water at meals only (HARD...I'm sweet tea FIEND lol)

Hard Candy Plexi Glass Glossy Lip Shine in Arm Candy

Hard Candy Plexi Glass Glossy Lip Shine in Arm Candy- The formula is smooth but a tad bit sticky. Its also very sheer but the tiny bit of pink and pink glitter showed up well on me. I've been wearing the gloss alot!

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer in Light - was too light for me so I can't give you a honest assessment of it.

Hard Candy 1000 Lashes-Fiberized Lash Weave Mascara in Indigo Blue - The sheer look of the product on the wand is SCARY. It has all these little 'fibers' on it. I took shot at it and even though it thickened my lashes it didn't elongate them. However, I'm in love with colored mascaras these days! That's a trend worth talking about in makeup and beauty.

Why I think an Energizer Smart Charger would make my life easier by Jamie!

Energizer Smart Charger would make life so much easier, you would not believe it! Lol! Between my digital camera, which only take the highest charged battery, my twin boys toys’ which always ALWAYS require batteries, and our main TV remote, which mysteriously is loses one battery a week, I’m the prime the candidate for the Energizer Smart Charger. The idea of putting old batteries in a device that will save me from buying the entire battery section at Wal-Mart after Christmas is wonderful idea! Thanks for the opportunity to express my need for Energizer Smart Charger!

Go Green, Get Glam!: Review: Baggu....

Remembering to use a reuseable shopping bag requires effort and the memory of a Mensa member. LOL! No, but really, I have TONS of very sturdy, very cute reusable shopping bags that I totally forget to use all the time. Why? I can't call it, but I've found a easy solution in Baggu.

Baggu comes in great colors and is stored in a little pouch that you can just drop in your handbag. I put my Baggu( I got the Khaki color)in the outside pocket of my latest bag with my phone, so I know its there. I've used it over the last week or two to much success. Its holds a serious amount of grocery, which is my main issue with reusable shopping bags. I shop at the market, twice a week at the most and I always have a zillion plastic bags. I took my Baggu out at the Piggly Wiggly yesterday and that cashier filled her up! Felt good to be conscious.:)

I also used my Baggu at CVS. I put my Green Tag on the Baggu. :)

Can you say...What a cute start? I was given the opportunity to review Orglamix Organic Mineral Makeup, a company who specializes in a mineral makeup with zero synthetic ingredients. They sell foundation, eye colors, blushes, brushes. and more....

I choose three mineral colors from the Smokin' Haute Must Have Collection: Midnight, Obsidian, and Fig.....

Midnight is actually a flat black color with little specks of glitter. You can see them, but they won't show up on your lid.

Obsidian is a deep, navy blue shimmer.

Fig is a Fall must have...that deep lavender shimmer everyone showing up this season.

I loved the colors I chose!

Here are three days with my three Orglamix colors!:
Day One: All three colors to form a dramatic eye....hey, I wear dramatic eyes in the daytime!
Day Two: Just working with Fig on the lid. Pretty and simple wash of color...Fall, where art thou? lol!
Day Three: Midnight all over the lid and lower lid with a little Obsidian packed in on the top lid. Super-extra drama at 9 am. LOVE IT.

Overall:

I adored the colors. The formula is soft and applies very delicate to the eye lid. I've worked with loose eye shadows so I expected the fall out. The key to quelling alot of fall out is base and brush. Use a base ( whether its a cream eyeshadow or eye shadow base product) to make the product stick. Use a tight, flat, small ended brush to apply the product. Big fluffy brushes cause fall out havoc. Orglamix formula is very soft and fine so there was minimal fall out on my face. That's a sign of a good loose product:)

Now for the GOOD part!

Glamour Grub: Somersault Snack Co......

As a teenager, I was preoccupied by eating sunflower seeds...all the time. I mean the ones in the shell that you have to pop open with your teeth and eat, then spit out the shell. This hard to eat snack was usually washed down by a Fruit Punch Chek Soda, that you could buy at the long-gone Winn-Dixie for $.50.

Well, Somersault Snack Co. have taken me back about 15 years with their crunchy nuggets that are filled with toasted grains and.....sunflower seeds!!!( without the shell!)

Somersault Snack Co. Somersaults are all natural, 3g fiber, nut free and super tasty. If you are a product and you say your flavor is "Salty Pepper", it better be Salty Pepper to me. Somersault doesn't fail with the flavor. I liked SS Sea Salt, Salty Pepper and Santa Fe Salsa the best. The Chez Cocoa was yummy but I like chocolaty snacks REALLY chocolaty.:) ( addiction speaking)

Somersaults are the perfect "mindful munching"....the bag will be empty before you know it! Try them!

Uh..Fall, Where are you? Fashion Cupcake: Eyeglasses

I spent most of yesterday going thru my first set of Fall/September Issue magazines. I've recieved so far, People StyleWatch, Marie Claire and Elle. I was in heaven! Each year I make a wishlist of things a want to refresh my wardrobe. I definitely put eyeglasses on that list. I wear them and I like to change up even though my sight doesn't change.
